Ellie & Tom - June '24

The first time we met Tom and Ellie we knew this couple would be fun, energetic and just a joy to work with!

One thing we tell couples during the planning process is that your guests do not know the plan, so if anything needs to change at the last minute it is usually an easy fix between our planning team and the couple. Ellie and Tom had planned the majority of their day outside but with the weather not playing ball it was a last minute decision to hire a stretch tent to cover the rear lawn. It was the first time we have had Lunar Stretch tents on site and they really did a wonderful job on making the couple feel more comfortable.

Ellie and Tom had opted for a Celebrant led ceremony which meant they could really personalise their vows and how they wanted the ceremony to run. There are a number of ceremony options you can choose from when planning your wedding and our team will always be on hand to help you through this process. The couple did decide to end their ceremony by taking a shot of tequila on a shot ski which really set a fun tone for the rest of the day!

The couple had really thought through their decor in and outside of the barn and a lot of what they did was DIY. Tom’s mum was in charge of flowers throughout the barn and we were stunned with how beautiful they were. There was some beautiful furniture dotted around the venue which gave plenty of seating for guests to relax and have a cocktail!

While guests were outside under cover enjoying canapes and a few cocktails, the sun made an appearance which meant it was time for some photos. Our team works hard behind the scenes to keep the venue and parkland looking pristine in order for the best quality photographs to be taken. Ellie is a footballer for Norwich City and she surprised her friendship group the ‘Custard Crew’ with some green and yellow smoke bombs which is always a great touch!

After the BBQ boards had been eaten and the speeches had taken place it was time for the party to start. With a full 200 evening guests it was sure to be a busy night but that is what we love here at CHB. The band, Loco Moves, got the crowd going from the very start and the dance floor was buzzing from start to finish. Ellie and Tom had a surprise firework display for all of their guests later on in the evening which was truly magical.

Ellie and Tom it has been a pleasure to be a part of your big day and we hope you have the best honeymoon!
