Gemma & Ashley - June '24

Our first wedding of June was definitely one to remember. From the moment Gemma and Ashley first came to Curds Hall Barn we knew this group was going to be one to remember. With the summer showers showing on the weather apps, the discussion of burying a sausage for good luck was once again the topic of conversation on set up day.

The bridal party stayed at the Old Coach House the night before the wedding which is our accommodation about a two minute drive down the lane. The Old Coach House has large open plan rooms making it a great place for hair and makeup to get done on the morning of the wedding with a glass of fizz in hand!

After the legalities had taken place, everyone gathered on the rear lawn to welcome out the newlyweds for the first time. With the prosecco and canapes flowing the sun made an appearance keeping all guests outside. The great thing about CHB is that we always have a wet weather plan in place in case the weather isn't playing ball!

The couple worked hard to transform the barn with the help of Ben who had a lot of wedding experience. Gemma and Ashley had really taken their time to add the little finishing touches to the barn the night before the big day which meant they could sleep well in readiness for a busy day. It was the first time Dear Luna florals had been to CHB and they certainly made their mark. Lyndsey created two beautiful feature pieces for the ceremony which were then transferred into the Woodshed to sit behind the top table.

When our couples first book with us here at CHB we often mention how important it is to pick the perfect suppliers for their big day. Gemma and Ashley picked the perfect mix of suppliers with some beautiful lights from JR Lighting and there amazing photographer Taylor Gook who where both a pleasure to work with leading up to the wedding.

We knew the evening was going to be a big party however we didn't expect it to be as big as it was! All the guests loved the Mr & Mrs cocktails the couple had chosen and the shot shelf was going down a treat as well. It was great to see singer Tom Tonks and DJ  Haliwaves working alongside each other giving guests a good mixture of music, it certainly did get the dance floor going!

Thank you for choosing CHB to be a part of your big day and please come back and see us soon!
