Kate & Mark - Nov '24

There’s something utterly enchanting about a countryside wedding in winter. The crisp air, the tranquil surroundings, and the breath-taking natural beauty combine to create an unforgettable backdrop for your special day. If you dream of saying "I do" amidst fields, coloured trees, and the serene charm of a rural landscape, a winter wedding in the countryside is a perfect choice.

Kate and Mark had worked hard to create their perfect day since booking back in December 2022. The Main Barn was filled with natural colours and some beautiful pampas grass. Pampas lined the aisle and sat on plinths at the top of the aisle. White drapes filled the space with a few runs of festoon lights down the back wall helping to light the space now the nights were drawing in. As Mark and his groomsmen stood waiting for Kate’s arrival, guests were asked to stand to welcome the bridal party. Kate made her way down this aisle in her absolutely stunning dress from Blush Ely.

Once the ceremony was complete we had all guests lined up outside for the confetti photograph. With a November wedding majority of the day can take place inside our beautifully heated barn however if we can get outside for photos and confetti lines then we absolutely will.

As drinks and canapes flowed in the Main Barn, guests were kept entertained by the amazing singer Casper Clarke. Casper really made an impact throughout the day as he sang some wedding classics which had the guests dancing from start to finish! As guests were seated for dining Casper sang around the room interacting with guests and they all still kept dancing!

The Woodshed was decorated with dried flowers in bud vases and black edged box candles. Again with some white draping filling the space and fairy lights around the beams it made for the perfect intimate setting for all guests to enjoy. Gold Leaf catering served a beautiful three course meal with a beautiful scotch egg to start, a hearty beef wellington and an amazing lemon tart.

Kate and Mark wanted to have a sparkler photograph outside with just the bridesmaids and groomsmen and that is just what we did. A small intimate photo like this makes for some great photos and it also means the sparklers last a little bit longer than normal!

As the evening party started to begin, Kate and Mark’s evening guests arrived to join the party. DJ Sebina got the party started and the dance floor was full from the moment she started right until the end. The couple had also organised saxophonist Miss Leeloo to join the DJ through the evening. Saxophonists always bring that extra spark to the party and absolutely get all guests vibing.

Kate and Mark you have been an absolute dream to plan your special day with and everyone at CHB wishes you all the best ! xx
