Laura and Rhys - Nov '24

Curds Hall Barn is the perfect place to host your winter wedding. A late November wedding offers a unique blend of seasonal charm and timeless elegance. With bright flowers, a delicious feast, and a lively party, this celebration was a testament to how magical weddings can be – no matter the time of year.

As guests arrived into the Main Barn ready for the ceremony to commence, Rhys and his best men welcomed everybody in and helped them to their seats. The warmth of the barn creates a great place to escape the wind and the rain. Soon after guests had been seated Laura and her bridesmaids arrived into the barn ready for the ceremony to commence. With Rhys waiting at the top of the aisle it was just a short wait until Laura started to make her way down in her stunning dress from Blush Ely.

As the weather wasn't on our side we took the opportunity to take that all important confetti shot inside the warm barn. Guests lined up throughout the Main Barn in readiness for Laura and Rhys to make their first appearance as a married couple! Shortly after a selection of drinks and canapes were served by Gold Leaf catering and Doug from Quirk Events provided live music by singing some classic wedding songs keeping all guests entertained.

Typically a winter wedding it is filled with reds, greens and off whites however Laura and Rhys opted for beautiful pinks, oranges and bright whites throughout the barn. Centrepieces featured overflowing arrangements on rustic wooden boxes, perfectly complementing the wooden tables. Bouquets for the bride and her party were wrapped in satin ribbons, adding a touch of sophistication to the rustic charm. White drapes covered both rooms with chandeliers and festoon lights adding an extra touch of light in those darker months.

Every detail in the barn had been thought through. A beautiful cake wrapped in a white bow sat centre stage alongside a welcome mirror and arcade machine. Candles covered the barn as well creating a glowing atmosphere throughout.

Guests were welcomed to their tables with personalized name cards and flickering candlelight, setting a cosy and intimate atmosphere. Speeches took place before an amazing three course meal was served by Gold Leaf. The room was filled with laughter and smiles and there wasn't much more we could have asked for! After dessert had been served Queen Bee Coffee parked up under the festoon lighting and served some heart warming coffee and hot chocolate. A coffee cart is a great way to add that special little touch to the day especially in the winter months!

As the evening progressed, the barn transformed into a lively dance floor. Festoon lighting  and glowing candles set the mood, while the band played a mix of timeless classics and modern hits to keep the energy high. The couple shared their first dance which got everyone on the dance floor! Evening food consisted of hog roast supplied by Hoggies which went down a treat with guests after a few cocktails. The fire pit was lit out the front of the barn allowing guests to enjoy the outside spaces while keeping warm at the same time!

Laura and Rhys it has been such a pleasure to work with you both over the past year. We wish you all the best for the future! xx
