Miami Glam

Miami brings to mind vibrant colours, tropical florals, and a sense of bold, unapologetic glamour. Our recent wedding photo shoot was inspired by all things Miami Glam.

Featuring fun disco balls; a chic twist on wedding fashion with short dresses and quirky accessories; and a bright and playful colour palette of coral and peach, this shoot is the perfect inspiration for couples who want to combine fun, flair, and a touch of South Beach style on their big day.

Miami Glam is all about embracing vibrancy, modern elegance, and a splash of retro fun. For this shoot, we wanted to capture that lively energy with a mix of tropical florals, sleek metallic details, and fashion-forward looks. We paired the glitz of disco balls with the warmth of coral and peach tones, bringing in plenty of lush greenery and tropical flowers to tie it all together. The result was a stunning fusion of old-school glam and tropical paradise, ideal for couples who want their wedding day to be as bold and stylish as they are.

The florals for this shoot, designed by Charlotte Staff, were showstoppers, taking inspiration from Miami’s lush, tropical vibe. We used structured arrangements filled with exotic flowers like anthuriums, bird of paradise, orchids, and monstera leaves, with pops of coral, peach, and bright greens throughout.

The bouquet was modern and structured, with bold shapes, creating a statement look that perfectly matched the Miami theme. These colourful florals were combined with an abundance of faux tropical plants and leaves, from Array Weddings and Events, and statement lighting from Quirk Events for a lush, jungle-like setting.

In keeping with the glam vibe, our models wore long gowns, from White Reflections Bridal,  with statement modern details and paired them with statement coloured veils, quirky earrings and metallic boots. The looks were glamorous yet relaxed, capturing the effortless style that Miami is known for.

For a different look, we featured retro-inspired mini dresses with an oversized bow and shimmering sequins, perfect for that late-night dance party vibe. Short dresses are trending for brides who want to make a fashion-forward statement, and this one was a hit in our Miami Glam shoot.

Hair, designed by the gorgeous Lisa Marie Hair, was soft glam waves and a loose, textured updo combined with warm, glowing, glam makeup by the lovely Hayley Clarke Makeup.

What’s Miami Glam without a little sparkle? Disco balls from Quirk Events were added everywhere for a touch of retro glitz that was fun, yet chic. These shimmering globes were scattered throughout the venue, from hanging installations above the top table to small accents on the tablescapes. The way the light bounced off the disco balls added a magical, party-ready atmosphere to the entire shoot. The metallic shine of the disco balls played off the tropical florals and greenery beautifully, blending modern glamour with a playful retro twist.

The colour palette for this shoot was inspired by the Pantone Colour of The Year for 2024: Peach Fuzz, and conjured visions of iconic Miami sunsets and tropical landscapes. The vibrant mix of coral, peach, and bright greens, brought a sense of energy and fun to the day, and paired beautifully with the soft greenery and metallic accents throughout the décor.

Dining tables were set with sleek black crockery, sparkling glassware, gold cutlery and coral napkins provided by Banqueting Hire Service. Exquisite stationery of menus and place cards from I Like Pens Studios added a further pop of colour against the black plates. Gold candlesticks, tropical flowers and palm fronds, and gold painted pineapples(!) continued the vibrant tones and fun feel.

Even the stunning wedding cake, from Edge By Imogen, echoed the glam feel and colour scheme, with a sleek, modern design featuring statement single tropical florals and striking fruit details.

This Miami Glam shoot was all about celebrating in style. The laid-back, tropical vibe combined with the glitz of disco balls and chic short dresses created a party-ready atmosphere with the perfect nod to Miami’s iconic style.
